This particular recipe makes a great amount of individual perogies, so you may need to reduce.
2000 grams yam, boiled and mashed
400 grams onion, finely chopped
2 tsp ground garlic powder
2 tsp curry powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
½ tsp ground cumin
½ tsp ground turmeric
Peel, cube and boil the yam.
Drain and mash.
Add remaining ingredients and mix.
Stuff into either wonton wrappers, phyllo dough, or make your own perogie dough! Depending on the dough you choose, add in the calories.
This would also be a great dish to serve as you would mashed potatoes!
